I started this blog because I take WAY to many pictures and I cant keep up with putting them all in albums. This way I can keep an on going "scrap book" of my little ones lives. My hope is to someday print these out and make each of them a book of their childhood. Heres for you Kendal and Benjamin!!!!

Mothers day

These were NOT all taken on mothers day...we have too many mothers for that! Ha ha! I just wanted to say to all mothers, step mothers and grandmothers of ours, we love you! In a FWD I read: This is for the mothers who have sat up all night with sick toddlers in their arms, wiping up puke laced with Oscar Mayer wieners and cherry Kool-Aid saying, 'It's okay honey,Mommy's here'. Moms Who have sat in rocking chairs for hours on end soothing crying babies who can't be comforted. This is for all the mothers who show up at work with spit-up in their hair and milk stains on their blouses and diapers in their purse. For all the mothers who run carpools and make cookies and sew Halloween costumes. And all the mothers who DON'T. This is for the mothers who gave birth to babies they'll never see. And the mothers who took those babies and gave them homes. This is for the mothers whose priceless art collections are hanging on their refrigerator doors. And for all the mothers who froze their buns on metal bleachers at football , hockey or soccer games instead of watching from the warmth of their cars, so that when their kids asked, 'Did you see me, Mom?' they could say, 'Of course, I wouldnt have missed it for the world,' and mean it. This is for all the mothers who yell at their kids in the grocery store and swat them in despair when they stomp their feet and scream for ice cream before dinner. And for all the mothers who count to ten instead, but realize how child abuse happens. This is for all the mothers who sat down with their children and explained all about making babies. And for all the mothers who wanted to, but just couldn't find the words. This is for all the mothers who go hungry, so their children can eat. For all the mothers who read'Goodnight, Moon' twice a night for a year. And then read it again.'Just one more time.' This is for all the mothers who taught their children to tie their shoelaces before they started school. And For all the mothers who opted for Velcro instead. This is for all the mothers who teach their sons to cook and their daughters to sink a jump shot. This is for every mother whose head turns automatically when a little voice calls 'Mom?' in a crowd, even though they know their own offspring are at home -- or even away at college. This is for all the mothers who sent their kids to school with stomach aches, assuring them they'd be just FINE once they got there, only to get calls from the school nurse an hour later asking them to please pick them up. Right away. This is for mothers whose children have gone astray, who can't find the words to reach them. For all the mothers who bite their lips until they bleed when their 14 year olds dye their hair green. For all the mothers of the victims of recent school shootings, and the mothers of those who did the shooting. This is for all the mothers who taught their children to be peaceful, and now pray they come home safely from a war. What makes a good Mother anyway? Is it patience? Compassion? Broad hips? The ability to nurse a baby, cook dinner, and sew a button on a shirt, all at the same time? Or is it in her heart? Is it the ache you feel when you watch your son or daughter disappear down the street, walking to school alone for the very first time? The jolt that takes you from a dead sleap at 2 A.M. to put your hand on the back of a sleeping baby? The panic, years later, that comes again at 2 A.M. when you just want to hear their key in the door and know they are safe again in your home? Or the need to flee from wherever you are and hug your child when you hear news of a fire, a car accident,a child dying? The emotions of motherhood are universal and so our thoughts are for young mothers stumbling through diaper changes and sleep deprivation... And mature mothers learning to let go. For working mothers and stay-at-home mothers. Single mothers and married mothers. Mothers with money, mothers without. This is for you all. For all of us.

Its never boring..

I cant stop...I love my camera...and I have beautiful children, nieces and nephews...they make it that much harder. =)
My little beauty....

Best day EVER!

So usually our weekends fly by in a fraction of a second, we are dead tired, and have no clue what we even did!! I was super excited when Kenny got home Friday afternoon and we realized we had NO PLANS!! We sat around, watched movies together, ate out ALOT (I know...but it was nice to not cook!!) and enjoyed just being home.
Sunday we decided to take the babes to the park for a bit to play. They had a blast and so did we!! I cant even tell you how happy it makes me to see them so happy.
After the a few hours playing at different parks we decided to eat at the drive in. We live a half a mile from Simonton Lake drive in and have never gone there and man am I glad we did! It was delish! Kendal and Ben had there usual chicken strips and fries, and yes it is ALL over my van!
Kendal wanted ice cream so we stopped by Martins and got mint chip and cones!
I couldnt have asked for a better weekend!
Kenny says to me as I am getting ready for bed " just when I think I couldn't be more in love with you and our family, we have a day like today". I was thinking the same thing......

Happy birthday April!

April invited us girls and our husbands over for a birthday get together. It was a blast of coarse! I brought queso dip, Jessica brought something fancy that I cant spell or pronounce but it was delish. April made meatballs, Tara made some kind of a chicken wing dip that was yummy, Mary brought brownies and naturally Mrs. Adkins brought cupcakes that were unbelievable and pretty too!! They cupcakes said "Happy Birthday April" but as the night when on and some were eaten we changed the words a bit. Happy birthday girl!

The missing piece...

Saturday March 20th we welcomed home our missing piece, Uncle Kolin!! I guess you could say Uncle Kolin or Daddy, brother or son. Kolin was in Korea for more than a year. We had a welcome home party for him where he met his daughter for the first time. It was an extremely emotional moment for a few people. (wink) She is a beautiful little girl. It's been precious and hilarious at times watching him learn the ins and outs of being a daddy. I am so happy for my husband to finally have his brother home! He only has one sibling and there's totally a void in his heart when he doesn't have him around. We love you Kolin and we are so glad you're home!!!

Like a hole in the head!

Kenny and I are sitting in the living room watching American Pickers (good show) trying to hear it over Kendal and Ben running around like a bunch of crazy people. I hear crash and a blood curdling scream from the kitchen and run out there to see Ben on the floor and Kendal looking as if she had just seen a ghost. Turns out he was either pushed or tripped and his head landed on the corner of an open drawer in the kitchen. I picked him up and looked at his head and the blood just started pouring out! I covered it with a washcloth trying to get it to slow down and eventually it did. We debated taking him to the hospital for bit and ultimately decided not to, neither of us wanted to see him being tortured just for 2 or 3 stitches. I had to shave his head because the hole is right at his hairline and I was ripping his hair out trying to change bandages. So in the end we have a hole on a bald head and a bandage the size of Texas. Scared the crap out of mommy!!!

CAtch up!

Just a few to catch up..
We have Kendal and Ben playing in the back yard. So cold and snowy. Ben had a love/hate relationship with the snow. Benjamin watching Buz and Woody while holding his Buz and Woowy (how he says it). Landon and I trying to get a good picture together. He looks just like his daddy. :)
